Dr. Amir Shayesteh earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and later attended Howard University College of Dentistry, where he graduated at the top of his class and received the Dean’s Award.
He was also elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) dental honor society and served as clinical faculty at Howard, teaching dental students.
Dr. Shayesteh specialized in periodontics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, followed by orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at Seton Hill University.
He is a board-certified diplomate of both the American Board of Orthodontics and the American Board of Periodontology, continuously advancing his techniques to provide the highest level of patient care.

The Invisalign system can only work if the recommended guidelines are followed exactly! Aligners should be worn 20 to 22 hours per day throughout treatment. If patients neglect to wear the aligners as directed, it can impede the results and also add time to the orthodontic process.
