After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), he went on to attend Howard University College of Dentistry. He graduated top of his class, receiving the Dean’s Award. While attending Howard, he was elected to membership in the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) dental honor society. He also served as clinical faculty at Howard, helping to teach dental students attending the University.
Upon graduating from dental school, he began the specialty residency program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He specialized in periodontics and graduated with a degree in the specialty. Shortly after, he attended Seton Hill University, where he focused on a second specialization, receiving a degree in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.
He is a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and the American Board of Periodontology. He is committed to providing the highest level of patient care and continues to pursue opportunities to learn and advance his techniques.
In addition to his dental practice, Dr. Shayesteh is an experienced aviator holding a commercial pilot license.
